FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ page! Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about our plans, payments, and downloads.

Orders & Downloads

What am I actually buying?

Every GrainPrint plan is a downloadable PDF — detailed building instructions, material lists, and dimensioned diagrams for the project shown. There is no physical product shipped; you build it yourself.

How do I get my files after purchase?

Your PDF is available for instant download right after checkout, and we'll also email you a download link. No waiting, no shipping.

What if I can't open or print my PDF?

PDFs work with any standard PDF reader (Adobe Acrobat, Preview, browser viewers, etc.). If you're having trouble downloading or opening a file, contact us and we'll sort it out.

Do you offer refunds?

Because these are digital downloads delivered instantly, I generally don't offer refunds once a file has been downloaded. If something's wrong with your file (corrupted, missing pages, wrong product), reach out and I'll fix it or refund you.

Payment & Trust

Is it safe to buy from GrainPrint?

Yes. All payments are processed securely through Shopify, a trusted global e-commerce platform also used by hundreds of thousands of stores worldwide. We never see or store your card details — Shopify handles all payment data using industry-standard encryption.

Will you sell or share my email address?

No. Your email and personal details are only used to deliver your order and, if you opt in, send occasional updates about new designs. I never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.

Who designs these plans?

GrainPrint is an independent, one-person studio. Every plan is designed, drawn, and tested by hand — there are no outsourced or third-party plans in the shop, and we don't resell other designers' work under my name. What you see is what I actually make.

Plans & Measurements

What's included in each plan?

Each plan includes a full materials and cut list, step-by-step instructions, and clear diagrams with dimensions.

Are the plans in metric or imperial measurements?

All plans are sold as a bundle that includes both metric (mm/cm) and imperial (inches) measurements in the same PDF, so you can build using whichever system you're comfortable with.

Do you offer plans in languages other than English?

Yes — select designs are available in German, Dutch, French, and Spanish as metric-only variants. Check the product page for available language options. In doubt contact me.

What skill level are these plans for?

My plans range from beginner-friendly builds to more involved projects. Each listing notes the difficulty level and approximate build time so you can choose what fits your experience and tools.

What tools and materials will I need?

Each plan lists the exact materials and tools required at the start of the document, so you can review everything before you buy.

Usage Rights

Can I sell items I build from your plans?

You're welcome to build and sell finished pieces made from our plans for personal small-batch sale. The plans themselves (the PDF files) may not be resold, shared, or redistributed.

Can I request a custom plan?

Not currently, but feel free to reach out with project ideas — I am always looking for inspiration for new designs.

Support & community

Is there a community I can be part of?

Yes. Many GrainPrint builders share their finished projects, tips, and variations on our social channels. Following along gives you build inspiration, troubleshooting help from other makers, and early looks at new designs before they launch.

Where can I share photos of my finished build?

I'd love to see it! Tag me on Instagram or Pinterest, or check my socials for the best place to share.

What if I have a question that's not answered here?

Just reach out — I am happy to help with anything from order issues to questions about a specific build. As an independent, one-person studio, every message goes directly to me. :)

Can I give feedback on a plan?

Absolutely, and I genuinely welcome it. If something in a plan was unclear, a measurement seemed off, or you found a better way to do a step, let me know. Builder feedback is one of the main ways my plans get improved over time.
